| Content | The University of Macau (UM) is committed to integrating resources and leveraging its advantages to help Macao develop into a base for cross-cultural exchange and collaboration, with Chinese culture being the predominant component, complemented by a variety of other cultures that co-exist in harmony. The Cultural Building houses the Centre for Chinese History and Culture, the Centre for Macau Studies, the Confucius Institute, the Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre, the Centre for Arts and Design, and the Macao Base for Primary & Secondary Education in Humanities & Social Sciences. Together, these centres and institutes are tasked with the mission to promote Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication as well as to support Macao’s effort to become a centre for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the world. |
