The 5th Confucius Institute of the University of Macau’s Chinese Characters Contest and the 2nd Chinese Fun Competition were successfully held from December 10 to 14, 2024 at E34 Cultural Building. These competitions aim to help students improve their Chinese language skills in a comprehensive and systematic way, to consolidate the foundation of Chinese characters for more advanced levels Chinese language courses, and to increase students’ interest in learning

UM Confucius Institute organized the “Spring Wellness and Care Workshop” on 29 March 2025. Students of the Mandarin courses gathered to make sachets, savor fine tea, and enjoy qingtuan (green rice dumplings) at the workshop.    

On May 6, the Confucius Institute at the University of Macau invited Professor Lin Huayong from the Sun Yat-sen University to give an academic seminar on “Interconnected and Mutually Verifying Approaches to Dialect Grammar Research”. The seminar was hosted by Professor Chen Zhong, Deputy Director of Confucius Institute of the University of Macau.

On May 16th, the Confucius Institute of the University Macau organized a graduation ceremony for the 2nd Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025 Mandarin courses at the E31 Student Activity Centre, and more than 123 students and teachers attended the Ceremony.
